Excellent 20g Protein shake mix
Looking for a good pre-workout shake? I was, and I think I found it...
3g impact carb (5g-2g fiber)
570mg potasium, etc
only 110 calories and
Liking the taste is subjective but I like the way this stuff tastes better than any others I've had so far. In fact it's delicious to me.
The other soy based I've seen have high carbs and the whey based ones have high cholesterol.
Slim fast makes a 20g protein drink with 3g carb rating and other numbers in a good zone but it has twice the calories and an odd after taste.
No it's probably not as good as tofu, edamame and some extra lean turkey, chicken or beef slices on a salad with a light sprinkling of vinegarette with a small glass of low sodium vegetable cocktail but it takes 10 seconds to make and 5 to drink and tastes like dessert. :)
I use only flies when fishing, I sustain completely from useing any kinda bait or atractor potions http://www.flyfishingforum.com/flyta...lies/smile.gif

This stuff will only help for the "death marches" us shore-shleppers experience on the atlantic beaches... reducing baggage (fat loss) and giving the muscles something to burn over the haul (protein).

Done with mixing shakes so don't use the above anymore...
Slim-fast makes a 2g carb 20g protein chocolate shake that comes premade in a can. A little high in sodium but otherwise loaded with good stuff. (Look for the "low carb diet" type)
I use it as an occasional meal replacement to keep me on track or a pre-workout protein source. Great to put a few in the fridge at work for those days when you get real busy and can't eat right otherwise, or a mid-afternoon complement to a salad for lunch.
