6 Wt. Line

I haven't bought a trout line in years. Anyone suggest a good all around 6 wt. line for my new Sage DS-2? Floating that is.

I like the Wulff Triangle Taper. You would need a 6/7 for a 6 weight unless they've changed their nomenclature lately.

Luis' recommendation will give you exceptional roll casting and distance with lots of aerialized line for stillwater which is a plus around the northeast. Long belly lines will also improve that as well while requiring a little less line in the air. Short compact heads give you more bite into wind and popper punching power. The standard FWF is an all-around design.

I would imagine that for bass fishing you might consider a bug taper, and for trout something with a more gradual taper?
