West Wachacum (Stirling, Worc County)

Hey Guys:

Dave P. and myself fished West Wachacum this morning and got a half dozen puss rainbows (all released). We were using black woolie buggers (touch of chartrues in the hackle). The trees near the pond are all budding and the chartrues was a good match to this color. I don't know that much about it, but I have heard about ambient colors, that if you can match them, you could have positive results. Does anyone have any input about this? I would be interested in hearing other opions.

We got a report that there was some big bass on the beds at the far end of pond and the guy showed us a 5/4 pounder that he caught. We weren't after bass, so did not investigate.

Craig
