Chatham Light

I'm looking for some info on the waters out in front of Chatham Light. The last few years there has been a lot of boat activity out there, hense a lot of fish, but this year has been every slow. I think it is dirrectly related to the fact there has not been a lot of bait out there like years past. With the price of gas being what it is, 100 dollars a round trip to get down there, can anyone tell me if they have seen a lot of boats out off of South Beach or does anyone have first hand knowledge of bait and fish being out there?

Craig -

Yup the bait is there, the fish are there, the boats are there since about mid-last week.

(actually not the light, but south beach outside)
