Deerfield over Thanksgiving

It appears I'll be on the Deerfield during thanksgiving. Anybody interested in hooking up?

Josko -

I could be tempted... I assume it's nymphing by then? I might need to be 'reminded' of New England late seasons trout techniques by you or anyone else who shows up. Last November Bob Desplaines and I found some Nissitissit trout on nymph / droppers on dries. Nothing on the dries that day though http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif

Maybe it would help my cause to try to reach Jack Smola (info@jacksmola.com) and/or Marla Blair (marlablair@yahoo.com) to ask about Thanksgiving-time trout up there.

Is this a regular trip for you (time of year)?

i fished with Jack Smola last thanksgiving. Downstream streamers. He took me up above the Fife Brook reservoir to look for brown trout redds, and I ended up with a nice one, along with some brookies.

Was actually just starting to plan a trip out there for Thanksgiving as a matter of fact. My father is coming up and he is an avid trout fly guy.

Last year on the day after Thanksgiving, I caught my first rainbow with Bob D as a guide. About 16"! Albeit it was wierdly warm that day, no hatch but was a fantastic day!
