Rate of dam removal

I just got around to nonchalantly reading the sidebar on my TU calendar for this month. It points out that for the first time in American history, the pace of dam removal is exceeding the rate of dam construction.

This is indeed good news for fish and habitat. :)

Great news indeed! and it is so good much of it is Down East. Now we must get going with our dams on the other coast.

Glad to see a lot of these dams coming down. Just a little thought on the subject of dam removal to kick around.

Although legislation approving removal was passed during the previous administration, it is happening during the present administration. So does it really matter who is running the show? I have come to the conclusion that it does not. The ball keeps on rolling, business as usual.

Of course, they (Democrats and Republicans) will both take credit for it.
