River conditions Northern Indiana?

Cabin fever is getting to me,and waterfowl season is over. Are the rivers in Northern Indiana (St. Joe, Trail Creek etc.) open, or are they iced up? I live in Jackson Co. I don't mind a 200 mile drive for a fishless day (IT happens) but I don't want to do it for an ice skating party. (and I still haven't learned to double-haul through a hole in the ice):hehe:

All the Indy crreks are pretty much solid. There are a couple of openings where warm water flows into the creek. Probably at best a 1/4 mile of open water.

Couldn't tell you about the Joe, she should be open below the dams.
