New Prototype Steelhead Pattern

Hi All,

Hooked 2 steelhead yesterday morning (landed 1 chrome 28"x16" fat hatchery hen) on this new pattern. Thought it may be of interest.

Just done smoking the hatchery fish...

Cheers,

Yowsa! Nice fly. If you get the itch to share it, please post the recipe in the fly patterns thread.

If there's one thing I like better than hooking bright June summer runs, it's smokin' those hatchery fish. It seems this is a good year for summer returns, would you agree?

I suspect you found them in a north cascades stream, and I might even know which stretch... I've got the fever really bad this summer... can't wait till fall comes!
