Good Reels....

Jeff,
Lampson has been my standard for the past five years. I have
had excellent results with them and they have a lifetime guarantee, tuff to beat over the long haul. They are rugged, machined aluminum; they stand up to the saltwater with care(rinsing)and they can take the bouncing and beating typical in normal boat work.
For a little more money the Bauer reels have super smooth drag and the same warranty approach. I have had a couple for several years and they are excellent.
I'm waiting to get my hands on a new Reddington reel I bought at the show...conical drag system and huge capacity at a back-up reel price. Under $250 for 12/13 wt. w/300yds capacity.
Personally, I like the warranty clauses to say 'lifetime.....'
