Just wondering what leaders people are using for Atlantic salmon. Lets say for a 9 foot 9 weight single hand rod, with a floating line. Thanks for any help.
Good question and one I hope you get a variety of responses to. In my opinion, it doesn't make much difference as long as it is at least 9 ft, tapered and the tippet matched to the size of the fly. Having said that, I'm less likely to use Maxima Chameleon in clear water and find myself using 12 plus ft leaders in normal to lowish water.
Much more important is presentation, with a tight connection between you and the fly immediately on landing.
