NateSmith The back half is tie just like a stimulator, elk hair tail first, the tie in a hackle and peacock, rap about 1/3 of the shank in the peacock, then palmer the hackle over it, like a elk hair caddis, tie it off, then tie in the elk hair wing like a stimulator, tie on a post in either cald tail or para-post and another hackle, rap the rest in the peacock hearl then rap the hackle around the post like a parachute pattern and tie it all off.

Recipe?

Nate, that is a NEAT tie! How 'bout a recipe for the tie, especially the preferred hook sizes? Thanks.

NateSmith I know alot of people who fish the green swear buy them. I actually caught two fish on this pattern on the green on the 3 week of November when nothing but midges where hatching. It also is a good caddis pattern if tied on a 12 or 14

John Desjardins Nate, this fly has everything to triggger a bite. Good job. It could be a good fly for a One fly event.

This is one of my favorite cicada and hopper patters. IT is actually pretty simple. it has a peacock boady, elk hair tail and wing, rubber legs and a parachute style wing with para-post matrial and a brown saddle hackle. It floats really well.
