Maybe a fly guy was doing the old live line and it slipped off on the backcast. OH like you've never snagged a juvi and flipped itout there a few times....I saw Juro tossing Scup off a jetty once with his RPLXI 9 wt. :P

Huh? That was my power doublehaul, didn't even feel the scup }>

FredA I've thought about leaving the barb on because I always lose the bait on the backcast.

juro Reminds me of the story (unconfirmed) scuba diver they found in the charred remains of a forest fire... they figure he got scooped up by the fire plane's water bag!

Gregg - How did the lobster taste? }>

Hawkeye The seagull option makes a lot of sense but I don't recall seeing any flying that day. That was a serious blow!

RayStachelek Or a seagull about to get bit by this creature during flight training.

Tod D Gregg - Sure it isn't due to an irate, seafood-hating neighbor?! That's pretty amazing!

What a wind!

Last winter I posted about an eel that was blown out of the water about eighty feet in the air and over a hundred feet in distance over our house to land on our front lawn. Well it's happened again! With the big wind we had in Mass. this last weekend we ended up with a lobster in the quarter pound range right next to our back steps. That flight had to be about fifty feet in the air and over one hundred in distance! For those of you who tried fishing in that I don't know how you got a cast off!
