I was hoping to go this weekend or next. The most important thing to do is not go when the river is blown out, which seems to happen everytime it rains. Check the new york usgs site for the stream gauge. Fly fishing should be good when the gauge shows flows under 2 feet. Don't forget you need a reservation permit to fish on the Indian Reservation lands.

juro There are certainly some folks who know it well, also consider posting on the speyclave. If you call LL Bean and ask for Topher Browne he is knowledgeable on that area as well as many other destinations. I have been intrigued by that area as well... keep me in the loop, I would love to go out that way and if it works out, who knows.

Cattaraugus Help

I am thinking of fishing the Cattaraugus next week . I was going to the Salmon river , but I have been reading good things about Cattaraugus creek .
I have never fished there . Any help would be great.
