RE:Everybody allright in the Pacific Northwest???

Juro-
My boss Mike Chamberlain was in Olympia for a meeting of the Steelhead and Cutthroat Advisory Committee, same as Howzer. Anyways he dived under a table and hot pot of coffee fell on his back and burned him pretty bad but other than that my freinds and family are all safe. Thank God!!!

RE:Everybody allright in the Pacific Northwest???

The lower Mainland area [ Vancouver to the Veder R.] felt the shock for approx 30 sec, some damage in Fraser River delta basin but no major things like Seattle.
Comunications in the area including cel phones fell apart. Celluar is still not totally up and running as it should.

RE:Everybody allright in the Pacific Northwest???

Juro,

Actally, its now being reported as a 7.0. Epicenter was at the Nisqually Delta and occurred some 30 miles below the earth's surface. Some buildings broken (e.g. the Capital building in Olympia and several structures up in Seattle) but no reports of death (yet.)

I was getting my gear together to head out to a small bay near my home in Gig Harbor to fish for resident silvers and wild cutts when it hit about two hours after high tide (10:55 a.m.) Any anectodal evidence or studies of fish behavior following a quake? You've gotta believe they experienced an Excedrin headache!

Hopefully, this was "the big one" that folks have been prognosticating.

Thanks for asking.
