Backyard fishing ....

....well almost. 3.2 miles from my front door to the loveliest little pond immaginable and hardly anyone bothers to fish it. I never knew it was there until recently. Loaded with largemouth bass (best about 11 inches so far), sunnies and carp. Unfortunately sight fishing is out owing to the dark "tea" stained water. Also snapping turtles, birds trying to catch dragonflies doing amazing mid-air acrobatics. The past two evenings have been great fun from the yak with a 5wt and surface patterns. My LMB score has risen considerably
