|Bob Pink||EC 413 with that 60* bend works well. The trick to the carapace is to cover about 1/2 to 2/3 of the shank which forces the hackle tips to the bottom ( trim the section of the palmered hackle along the top of the shank before applying the sili skin ) That seems to create the 'leggy' look similar to tying a gurgler.|

|striblue||I have tried a couple of shrimp with the silli skin ... Are you entirerly circling the hook shank or leaving an opening.. I can only see from the top but it does look like you are leaving an open spot for the legs. Using that eagle claw hook I see.|
