Rockies fishing

John, when are you coming? You are looking at one of the prime times of the year. PM me, I have a couple of trips planned in March and we should be able to hook up this time.

John Desjardins Its made using a roughly heart shaped foam body that is wrapped around the hook and super glued in place.

Is it a fly? The British would call it a lure because it imitateds a dying bait fish. But I'd call it a fly. If there were a couple of appropriately positioned legs added it would have a pretty good hopper profile. and be nearly impossible to sink.

Brad, whats happening in your region for fishing ? I'm headed out there in a couple of weeks for business and wondering...

Dble Haul Have you guys ever heard of a crease fly? It's a pattern developed for saltwater made from sheet foam folded on itself and then coated with epoxy. Colors are added to the foam prior to the epoxy step.

I think Pete's calling these flies experimental because they weren't origianlly intended for trout.

Experiment#2 - Trout size Creaser

This is another experiment. These are "trout sized", about 1 1/2 inch body length.
