RE:Cool web tools?

Thanks Sully, I'll check it out!

The ideal solutions are those which we can link into as components for the site. Most likely they will include banner ads for the use of their services. Classified with visibility to a greater audience would be good, to help you get your offerings sold.

There are great photo album features in image editors, but what I was looking for was something that people could submit their own easily at their convenience, like our board but with the outcome being in an album format.

talk soon,
Juro

Cool, thanks... by the sound of it, he might buy you a nice car someday! If I could do what my son can do on a computer at his age, I'd probably be sitting pretty by now. I've already brainwashed him... s-t-o-c-k o-p-t-i-o-n-s, s-t-a-r-t-u-p-s, d-o-t-c-o-m-s! Hope this internet explosion holds up long enough for him to take advantage when he graduates.

RE:Cool web tools?

Juro,

I'll sic my kid on it this weekend. He's an absolute search monster. If it's out there he'll find it. He probably could code it too if I lit a fire under his butt or bought him a nice car.

Cool web tools?

I've been hunting for:

(a) classified ads input / listing tool
(b) photo (U-post) album/journal tool
(c) link library (U-post)

...among other toys. I thought I arrived in Nirvana when I found anexa (if the url is gone by the time you read this, I've asked them to delete me)

They offer a lot of fun stuff, but it's an all-or-nothing proposition. You can't use some of their tools without using all of their tools, including your homepage! For those who are not savvy on the web and want a web religion, this makes sense. I told them with a technical marketing hat on that they would make a much bigger splash by letting people use the components (boards, chatrooms, classified ads, etc) without forcing the user to be consumed into the Borg.

Anyway, if you guys know of any good candidate toyz to plug in that we would all enjoy, let me know. Meanwhile I will search more this weekend.

thanks,
Juro
