Wet-Dry

This is a searching pattern, ideal when cruisng fish are about but not eating agressively. It has victimized many lake Rainbows. Very simple & effective pattern. Best to cast it out and retriev with a steady, not fast, retrieve. Initially the fly floats, then penetrates the film, then actually begins to sink about 1/2 inch below the surface. Look for "following fins" and hang on. Constant and steady retriev is the best technique.
Hook: TMC 2312 #10-12-14
Tail: Some minimal trailing fibers from Antron or similar
Thread: Bright Yellow, serves as ribbing
Body: Tapered dubbing of antron or similar, color varies in shades of olive with some gold blend
Collar: Guinea fowl, tied as a wet fly
Head: Peacock herl
