rel1 Mike- You do good work- I generally keep the "wing" hackle alittle shorter so that it covers the palmered hackle and just reaches the hackle in the tail. If tied too long I have found it to foul, yet I don't have this problem when using bucktail for the wing and shoulder dressing probably due tothe length of the bucktail preventin the "wing " hackle from getting out of place. boarmountain This has no bucktail collar. It has a webby saddle palmered over the body w/ a saddle tied flat over that.

striblue Mike... are you "lifting" the bucktail collars on these?? I think I am going to try one with hackle tips instead of bucktail just to see how it comes out and will water test it.

Ron's Hunky Flatwing

This as a modified Abrames "Hunky's Finest Kind". The Pattern was suggested to me by Ron(rel1). Is this close Ron?
