When I bought my 9wt TFO this past fall there were two versions: the 2pc, which was $89, and the 4pc (3pc?), which was about $150. I asked about the price difference and was told that the more expensive rod was made with higher quality components. Another difference was that the 2pc had a glossy (lacquered?) finish and the other had more of a matte or brushed finish. I was also told that the action was the same for both rods.
FWIW, I bought the 2pc and am very pleased with its performance so far.

Probably not big news to most but I was surprised to see that Cabela's is selling the Temple Fork rods for under $100.
I thought they retailed for @ $150?

I will cast the Temple Forks at the Marlboro show (if they are there) and make a decision then.
I am just trying to dredge up a decent used rod in the meantime. Why not!
See you soon.

Hoy Vey! Skip the rod talk, tell "us" about that
pig in hand. Wow; that's big dinner even for a family of 5!

Just my .02 but...
You ought to try out a "new" Temple Fork...you might be pleasantly surprised!
I think they are about $150+/-
You get a descent rod and if it ever gets eaten by a car door or "high-stick modified", you are covered ($25 gets you a replacement)..."used" could leave you out in the cold...

Wanted: 7 wt rod - new or used
I am looking for a 7 weight rod for the feisty smallmouth here in New Hampshire.
I am looking to keep the purchase price under $150.
I like a fast action rod like the Sage RPLXi but I am not feeling too particular at this point.
Anyone out there with a used 7 weight that they are looking to get rid of this winter?
Otherwise I may peruse the offerings at the Marlboro show.
