MCorder Great Job!!
Get him a tying kit, you'd be amazed at what the imagination of a youngster can wip up at the vice.

Quentin Way to go! That's one way to get him started with flyfishing. He'll probably be outcasting you before too long!

Last night I was fishing with my 6 year old boy on a local warm water river. I was attending to his spinner rod, but before that I casted out my fly and handed him the pole and told him to just hang on to it. As I was fidging with his rod I heard him yell out that he had a fish on I couldnt believe it :eyecrazy: I myself was just in my first week of ever flyfishing and here is my boy catching a fish while he holds is ever first flyrod. I told him how to get the fish in and he did just ok. Was a bass, not big,.. about 3 inches long :hehe: But hey,you gotta love it
