Looks tasty!

For more durable legs try using pieces of rubber bands or spinner bait skirts.

I just got back from fishing and gave this new fly a try. Had 3 misses and caught one blue gill that inhaled it. The little legs where torn off and for some reason the dang fly wont float straight up It wants to lay on it's side. Got to experiment a little more with it so I can get it to float upright.

RTF'S Killer flying Ant

This is my second fly I have ever tied. the first one I tied was very similar to this one, but big bass ate it and snapped leader after going deep into the brush
Anyhow this fly should also catch bluegills too as did the first one.
