BigDave Eddie,

I have a 9wt Powell rod with a fairly quick action and use the Cortland 44sl (clear) in a 10wt. Works great and you can really punch it out in windy conditions.

Good luck,

Dave

Eddie I have had good luck with the SA Intermediate Striper Line. The Rio Aqua Lux Full intermediate is also good, but isn't quite as heavy. Better for smaller flies and softer tipped rods.
I can't comment on the sink tip or other lines you mentioned.

Saltwater Fly Line Question

Can anyone recommend an intermediate 8wt fly line for stripers? I will be using a Scott STS saltwater rod. What are the differences between brands? Considering the follow lines:

RIO Striper 15' Versi Tip Coldwater
Aqualux Striped Bass

Airflo Cold Saltwater Fast Intermediate

Cortland 444SL Clear Striper Intermediate

Craig
