|bcasey||It was great to meet such a polite and friendly person who, when you shake his hand you can tell he knows his stuff. With Monomoy new on my list of best places to fish, I will get in touch with him to show me the ropes. After listening to Brian tell his tale of his and Jeffs trip with Capt. Todd I don't think there is a more approiate person to introduce the area, and I can't see how I could do any better. I'll be sure to post after I've had my turn, and let you all know how it turns out.|

Capt.Todd's a great guy who does it all as a flyfishing professional - he's a great instructor, guide, angler and friend! Several lucky clavers got to experience some special times on the Monomoy flats, and from a flats boat to boot. I'm sure these are memories that won't be forgotten. Great to have you runnin' with the pack this weekend!

Todd is the man. In summary, generous to a fault, great company and definitely the man to hire for fishing the flats of Monomoy.
Check this out:
1. Even though he's a guide, he unselfishly advised the Estey's, Don & I where to head to with the Estey's boat - spots he takes his clients to.
2. Sunday was Todd's day off to spend with his family & his close friend & cousin, Scott. So what does he do on his day off? Todd & Scott come out & check on us. Todd see's that we came close to where he recommended (without success) and gets us organized & moves us on to where he knows we'll get into fish.
3. He invites me to join him & Scott to even out the crews on the boats.
4. Within 10 minutes of leaving the flat we were on, the crew in the Estey's boat is set up on a drift into schools of blues & hooking up. Scott is into a nice blue on his first cast with a sluggo, I'm trying to land a nasty blue on 10# fluoru....
After a few more lost fish we decided that stripers weren't in with the blues & changed to wire. We even convinced Todd to start fishing so he turns around & starts nailing blues on a 6 weight!!!
But what about the stripers? We leave fish to find fish & we definitely found them. Scott on the bow, me sitting down & watching, Todd busting his ass up on the poling platform. It must be in the blood because Scott had no problem nailing fish when it was his shot. Buck fever got to me, watching schools flying across the flats, trying to lead them, casting too far, trying to muscle in the one I did hook......
In summary, I called my wife on the way home and advised her that we are selling the house, buying a cottage on the Cape and of course, a flats boat.
Saying thank you isn't enough for helping to close off a great weekend on an even higher note.

Cpt. Todd Murphy!!!
You are truly a gentleman and scholar of your profession/passion!!!! For those of you unable to attend the clave, I can only begin to explain my few hours spent on Cpt. Todd Murphy's flats boat Sat. evening. Thanx of course, due to who other than Mr. Juro M.
My buddy, Jeff Knott, and myself headed out on a picture perfect setting mid-afternoon. Starting between the islands of North M. and South Beach heading all the way down and around South M. island. Had it not been for numerous sun-bathing seals on South M., we never would have experienced Blue Fish blitz mania 2001.
Rounding South M., and hitting the grassy flats we were instantly greeted by hungry schools of blue fish. Adrenaline pumping, Todd recommended his go-too flies and off to the races we began. Within minutes, three flies were chewed off and luckily two brought to the boat for a quick picture taking. Man, what a fight!!!!! And this was on the lower end of size (4-6lbs). Of course, once we were suited up with wire, a strong NE wind started. Unfortunately, to end or spectacular afternoon!!!!!
For those of you looking to get into some big fish, with a tremendous guide by your side (offering: advice, humor, snacks , not to mention knowledge base), give Todd a buzz. You clearly will not be dissapointed!!!
