pmflyfisher FYI

Feather wing streamer techniques, Carrie Stevens etc.. See URL below

Think the first streamers I fished for trout were a Nine Three and Supervisor. Then the Grey and Black Ghosts. Have to tie some large ones up for the steelhead. Love streamer fishing when the time is right. Fall and summer is time out here for that.

striblue Yes John.. you are correct... this will be a good winter program... My only problem with the pictured fly was that I had no freshwater streamer hooks and had to use a steelhead hook. This fly , done correctly, would have had the hook point way back at the tail of the fly.

John Desjardins Nice job John. Is this an indication of what next winters challenge will be?

Carrie Stevens Streamer

Here is a first atempt at a Carrie Stevens streamer pattern I took from her book and tyed according to instructions.. Basically prepareing the wings in advance by glueing the layers on before putting them on the fly.
