Location's are the Keys, Belize, the Bahamas, and Yucatan..... Hook- 4 or 6...... Thread-tan monocord...... Tail- two hackle tips, natural or tan or brown, flared with three or foursprigs offlashabou, then tan marabou..... Body- Off-white or white deer hair, spun and clipped to form Carapace., marked with black dots.... Eyes- small black monomor burnt mono and glued underside... Dip burnt mono ,after marking ,in epoxy for realistic eyes...... Legs- Three pair of rubber legs, white, and knotted as shown and glued to underside.... Belly plate- small pancake of lead putty, I used E-Z body...... Weight- small lead bar bell in the usual place..... More detail in Brown's book and designed by George Anderson
