|old man||It could rain every day here in the Great Pacific northwest and they would still say that we are below normal. What is normal and who decides what it is. Jim S.|

U.S. Drought Conditions
Talking to my parents in southern NJ they confirm the attached on the drought conditions in the North East and other areas of the country.
Looks like Mid west is OK but I know the Great lakes are down maybe 6 inches in water height. The attached report in January said they were down a foot, but I know there was a recent reforecast that the great lakes are not as low as reported in the January report below. (Note: It takes 99 years for the water which enters lake michigan from superior and huron to cycle through and exit !)
Interesting reading the posts on this board you would think the PNW was getting more than enough water (rain/snow) this says it is below normal this year.
