NrthFrk16 This article in regards to the Deer Creek steelhead was published a couple years ago by the WDFW and authored by Curt Kreamer.

It was recently published in the Adipose, the newsletter of the Wild Steelhead Coalition.

It just shows how resilient steelhead are and if we are willing to give them a hand, Mother Nature can do the rest on her own.

sean Rob,

I know is was not the intent of the post but nice feesh. Actually now that I think about it , it goes along well with the post as I am sure that beauty was let go to perform spawning duties. Hopefully, with some luck, they all will if wild C'R passes...

juro Rob -

Thanks for the reference, I've downloaded the pdf file for closer examination when I get a chance. I am quite familiar as you are with the East Fk Lewis and hope we take action to preserve this river where the state record summer run of 36 pounds was taken. I've landed my share of EFL summer runs as well, one as early as May and chrome as could be in the stretch below Daybreak.

BTW - that steelhead of yours is a BEAST!

Hope to hook up with you this spring.

Food for thought; or indigestion?

Spooky, but not unexpected. Nature doesn't care, that's why we have too.
