grego Welcome John,

The N. Shore has been my main source for Skunkings this year, but I hope that will soon change!

Anyone thinking about a late night bottom-of-tide venture this evening? With the front pushing through & Erin moving up the Coast, it may be the last Fishable night for several days!

Lefty John,
What a great way to meet a fellow flyguy-standing by a blitz!
When I got there John was ready to leave as he was tired and had been fishing half a day. The fishing picked up again and he continued on for another 4 hours! Great to meet you and look forward to pounding them again with ya.

juro I'm one of those who recently re-discovered the Annisquam and Wingaersheek neck... really beautiful. Caught some real feisty schoolie out on the bar on the flood, sunset was epic.

I'm looking forward to the fall migration thru the area!

fliboy Welcome John!

I also fish the Plum Island area when I do get a chance to get out. Havne't been that much so far this year, but plan on getting down there before the end of the season. I hope I run into you down there.

Hopefully that stuff going on off-shore doesn't mess the whole week up - I's really like to get out this week.

Tight lines,

Dave

introduction...

Met Terry at the M. river south jetty on plum island and he mentioned he frequented this site. Looks like some dedicated folks here and I look forward to checking in on these boards and learning a thing or two.

By way of introduction I've been flyfishing since I was about 8 for trout and salmon in Michigan, then did a lot of surf fishing (spin) on the Jersey shore when my family moved to Philly. These days I fly fish the ocean and estuaries 90% of the time, and have been from the keys up to maine. Expecting a first child in January, so trying to get every minute of fishing in that I possibly can this fall!

As an aside I noticed some people posting about the annisquam and discovering the north shore and so forth. I'm pretty familiar with the area, (Essex, Ipswich and PI in particular), and would be happy to meet up and give some hints to anyone who might be interested.

Anyhow, nice to meet everyone.

Writing from PI (and hoping hurricane Erin loses steam fast),

JohnR
