juro It's been good! Rip Ryder starts running on the 20th for Monomoy exploration. Everywhere else has been good as well.

fliboy Juro - I may be putting the 3 wt away and heading towards the Cape after seeing your post. Haven't been on the board all winter. Trout fishing in southern NH has been a bust. Not sure what's going on, but streams I have caught fish in, I haven't even seen a flash. Have to maybe venture north, but haven't really been up that way. Guess its time to finally make my way north and do some exploring.

juro I got 11 "keepers" yesterday up to 38" wading, all sight fishing the migration (none kept).

Looks like the sun is scarce thru the weekend, although Monday looks good. If you know anyone looking to explore the "new" Monomoy with an old Monomoy guide have them drop me a line, I still have dates open and will be exploring that thoroughly now that the break will be charging the refuge with crisp flows all summer long.

BigDave Has anyone struck paydirt yet? I'm venturing out tomorrow but not sure where. I'm considering RI since that seems to be the only area with consistent reports, but would rather not trailer that far. Or maybe look at Buzzards bay with the fallback plan of jigging some Toutog. Hopefully the boat runs well if nothing else.

I haven't kept a bass in 7 seasons for that reason. I was just commenting that a lot of people are out now because they can keep fish. bad reason to fish in my opinion

2nd Mate headed to DC for the weekend then over to Easton for the week. If the boats are in I should have access to a couple of them. Unless I am correct though they usually dont go in until May 1 which ??? Let me know if you are in the area.

boatdrinks sure they are. Where are you heading? Are you planning to fish from shore or boat?

2nd Mate headed to the eastern shore for a week tomorrow and thinking I should bring some gear. Not sure if the boats are in the water yet down there... but it might be worth it if the "rockfish" are still hiding up the bay in Easton???

BigDave Targetting May 4 for first salty outing of 2013...

boatdrinks I've been hearing of fish in RI and some stirring on the cape

boatdrinks I'll be out on the cape next weekend!

juro schoolies already showing - I'll bet the first pushes of good bass will be about 2-3 weeks from the cape and short-circuiting through the cut

boatdrinks you can't keep them on the chesapeake until April 20th though so I don't know if that counts as a keeper? The boat on the cape goes in next week!
