Hey thanks again for the tips. I see some guys use kayaks for access, does anyone know of any rentals on the island?

Vince Juro is right on re: the atlantic side beaches.

Deep creek area is very cool too, as is cape Eleuthera. Lots of flats to explore.

Friday night fish fry in Governor's Harbor is fun.

Stop in at the Nort'side Inn in Rock Sound and say hi to Rose--she makes a great dinner too!

juro when tailing, weightless shrimp
normal presentation, tan and orange or pink gotcha / charlie
faster moving or bigger fish petersens spawning shrimp

just go with what the fish respond to, they will let you know what they like / dont like

bkbones Thanks for the reply! Did you throw clouser or other bonefish patterns to the fish in the surf? Also any ideas on flats that might be better on the south end. Going to check out deep creek and a flat out toasted the cape.

juro Should be a fun trip.

Oceanside bones are nomadic for the most part so you'll encounter them where/when you encounter them. There are some that appear to be resident, for instance the ones at Club Med, but other beaches I frequented multiple times had different fish dropping by.

The best advice I can give you is to fish sandy corners near coral heads perpendicular to shore on the incoming tide.

When I go back I am going to concentrate on the south end of the island, flats.

Help for a Newbie, Eleuthera in 2 weeks

Hi everyone I am a newbie to the forum been reading awhile now, But I haven't posted before. My local waters are in central Oregon but I am heading to Eleuthera the 2nd week of june for two weeks. Spent a week last year in june threw some fishing gear together as an aside to a primarily family trip, had a great time and caught some nice Bones. That was my first experience bonefishing. Awesome!! Going back this year but dedicating some more time for serious fishing this time. I have split my two weeks up 1 week North end rainbow bay area, second week ten bay. I have gleened a fair amount of info from the forum, however I was interested if anyone had some info on some of the Atlantic side beaches. Also some more info on some more areas to check out on the south end, Rock sound area or further south. Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is a family trip again but definitely going to do some serious fishing.
