Typical. . .

Yeah, I know that river. I think I was fishing there last nite.

andre Juro,

The fish are so thick you can walk on their backs to cross the river and not get your loafers wet.

Doublespey July should be good.

juro OP, Lewis, Kalama should all have a shot of early summer run by now too. I'd love to get out there... maybe July. June is pretty well nailed down.

Doublespey Yeah, I talked to Steve before the rise (late May) and the were already getting early summers mixed with late winters.

You can . . .

but the river has been running between 13 and 15' below Mayfield. Too high for the fly IMHO.

juro Has anyone talked to Mike Sturze? I think I'll give him a call.

Doublespey Yeah, I reminded Andre of that on the way down. No more access to that sweet run, and the river has some major changes after that latest round of flooding. Some runs are gone, some new ones created.

The local rivers are dropping into prime shape. I just got back from Texas, where I exercised a few farm pond bass on topwater stuff in the early morning and evening. Great fun - a 5lb largemouth blasting a popper is pretty exhilirating.

Still, I can't wait to get into the first Sky summer-run of the year. Soon . . .

juro I still remember that Sandy clave chromer... Andre: You go down there to the prime water, I'll take this crappy hole... BANG!

andre Brian and I went down to the Sandy 'clave and I LDR'd one. The rivers are high and cold. Leland keeps sending pics of great looking water that you know is holding chrome, it's just a matter of time.

How about a report? I'm trying to carve out a few days to fly out and swing for chrome.
