Doc Garrett I spoke with a saltwater guide in South Africa who has a lot of experience with the GT 12 line. Reports are that it is a little stiff but shoots very well. Apparently, memory is not a problem in the tropics and stretching the line before casting helps.

The guys over there really appreciate the 50 pound breaking strength. This is translating to fewer lost lines. The GTs over there tend to be a little brutal on lines.

Frogfish I've heard nothing but good about these lines...

Look at the Airflo Thread about 3 threads down...

Airflo Ridge GT Question

Anyone have experience with the Airflo Ridge GT 12 weight lines? Specifically, is line memory reasonable? I recall their Tarpon Ridge lines tend to coil a little. Was concerned that the heavier core on the GT might increase memory.

Also, any input on abrasion resistence?

Thanks for any feedback...

Doc
