Typically, the bonito arrive in August and the Albies are right behind them. Each year varies - some years they are bustin' right on shore all the way to Monomoy and others years they don't really seem to get past Josko's / LarryB's neck of the woods.
My tactic is to go see John, owner of the Katherine B out of Harwich - fish weir operator and surfboard builder extraordinaire. When he says they are out there, he knows what he's talking about.
This spring is living proof that ocean currents and weather patterns change the way fish behave. One thing I would like to do is target bonito (however we might do that) as well as albies this year.

So,when do the fat alberts and bonitos arrive south of the cape? not that I'm anxious or anything.
