|sundown||Hmmm, went out this afternoon, tried a few of the flies I just learned how to tie. Still no luck with a wolly bugger,a p and p, or a rabbit hair nymph. I think it was too close to mid day, so I'll give it another shot tomarrow evening.|

nymping the Millers
I am not much of a nymph fisherman but friends of mine do very well with them. I'm not sure that you can fish anything in the Millers and not catch fish.

|sundown||Yeah, I live in Erving. The Millers River has been great to me for my whole life. I wouldn't recommend eating the fish unless you can tell they are freshly stocked. The paper plant used to cause a lot of pollution, but it seems to be getting better. I was curious about using a nymph or a p and p wet fly this time of year.|

A simple crayfish fly made with rubber legs off the end of the hook and deerhair palmered around the shank. I also weight the fly with coneheads or barbells. I'll put up a picture when I get my camera back.

MIllers River surprises me again
I fish the Millers River in Erving yesterday and got a big surprise. I caught my 2nd 20 inch Smallmouth bass of the year. I also caught another that pushed 17 inches and the normal bunch of 10 to 12 inchers. If it keeps up like this it's going to be a banner year. Sorry no pictures. My son has my camera in Europe.
