BrooklynFly Thanks guys for the input. I talked to Scott over at the Bearsden-he said the Rio outbound would be a little too agressive for my Echo2 9 - ended up going with the Wulff TT Saltwater in a 9wt.

BigDave I am a big fan of the Wulf SWTT as well. I don't overline it but you need to get the head out of the rod tip. After that you can shoot it a mile.

I have tried overlining it too and it works well - you just can't carry as much line in the air without overloading the rod.

Great line for casting big poppers.

jfbasser I am very happy with a Wulff TT 9 wt. floater on my 8 wt. Loomis Crosscurrent for medium to long casts.

Wulff Triangle Taper - Overline or not

Hi, I'm looking to get myself a floating line for my Echo2 9wt this year to play around with poppers etc. I'm looking at either the Rio Outbound or the Royal Wulff Saltwater. For the Rio I would definitely stick with the 9 wt - because Outbound is heavily overweighted already, also I use a Rio Striper Int 9 wt which works well on that rod.

For the Wulff TT Saltwater how are those rated for weight? Do guys generally overline those? I can't find any info regarding taper weight etc on these,

Any other floaters worthy of mention? I'd call my rod a med fast- fast taper.

Thanx
