RE:Recommended knots ??

Capt'n Bruce -

I'm glad a striper hound like you is getting into the fly scene. Knowing you're a fast study, here are a few suggestions. Others will chime in, as there a differing opinions and they all have their merits.

Reel to backing: Arbor knot
Backing to line: Albright knot (treat with aquaseal or pliobond if available)
Line to leader (butt): Nail knot
Leader to tippet: Blood knot (-or- surgeons knot)
Tippet to fly: Palomar, improved clinch, loop, uniknot, etc.

I'll do a sketch and scan it to be more clear on these...

Recommended knots ??

I am a flyfishing beginner. Will any of you recommend no more than three knots I need to learn to put my line, leader and fly to my reel ?
Thanks,

Bruce
