pescaphile Worst,
I've done this before but don't think there's any real benefits, but others will tell you there is. Give it a shot and decide for yourself.

You wont notice any difference whatsoever in casting.

Hook knot

I am stuck at a conference and brought a book of fishing knots and some 30 lb. monofiliment to pass the time when not in a lecture. In the book it mentioned using a knot where the knot is a little up the line from the hook eye instead of right on it, to give a streamer more action in the water. Has anyone tried this? Did you get a lot more wind resistance on your cast?
