wadecalvin Oddly enough I have done most of my research on the web. It probobly would be a good idea to go into town and talk to some shops etc. and kick some tires. I'm sure they do evolve- heck, I guess I should just call the company and ask them- what theyve changed over the years. that would be a good place to start.

Have one

Juro, I have one. If you want to try it stop in when you come down to RI. I have the Sea Eagle six foot. I have a wooden floor for it, and a seat that goes across it. The problem I have with it is when coming in from outside the surf line it has two bosses on the bottom rear for attaching the outboard bracket, and these dig in the sand. Fishing in the salt ponds it works fine other than it is tough to row into the wind and tide. I do have a 2 hp motor for it, but that,s not perfect either as it is a long shaft, so you can't really go in shallow water. If you want to try it for a while, before you buy one pick it up.

juro Could be the case, they all evolve rapidly. I own the Bucks Bag "bronco" but the new ones are a lot different, hardly anything the same in fact.

Have you found a place that has them on the floor to look at?

I hope others who own them chime in.

quality of pontoon boats

Has the quality of pontoon boats gotten better over time? I've read older posts on the web about Creek co that werent all that great but lately I've heard nothing but good about them -

I'm considering a odc 1220 for lake fishing and only occasional moderately rough water (more towards gentle stuff) with a partner but wondering if it wouldnt be better to shell out the bucks for a Bucks Bag or other high end type of two man outfit -

of course shelling out the bucks might mean waiting untill I have them which would mean I wouldn't get to buy it untill next spring - and I am really wanting it for this fall.

What would be the worst that could happen If I went for the cheaper odc 1220?
