Some positives in there, especially the miracle of the Puget Sound fishery surviving despite urbanization.
Recognition of some of the genocidal practices of the past will help.
Even if habitat has been improved 50%, that's 50% of what was lost prior to the recovery so net % of historic area has to be l-o-w but improving.
The Cedar seems to be an example of what not to do; where the Snohomish system seems to miraculously hold on as does the Skagit. Thank God.
I certainly hope these awakenings lead to actions and reactions that pave a path to true recovery for Washington steelhead.

Steelhead comments due
