Better late than never

Hello all, my name is Joe Baylog I guess I should have done this a little earlier to tell you the truth never made it this fer down on the topics list

I'm 39 yrs old (two more months till 40, ugh) and live in eastern Pa. Have fished all my life but have only taken up the long rod in the past five years. I started after one of those forced life changes, decided to sell my construction company get my teaching certification and start fishing! I must say it has opened up a new and wonderful learnig experiance. I am definately addicted! Along with fly fishing, Tying and rod building I enjoy canoeing, rafting, backpacking and general outdoors stuff.

I'm lucky enough to get out fishing in some form about 50 -70 days a year. I've mostly targeted trout both in local waters and through travels out west. I also enjoy Steelhead and Salmon fishing the great lakes tribs in PA and NY. I've been lucky enough to get up to Alaska a few times and realy enjoy the silvers and large bows. I made my first venture into the salt this year in Belize and while the weather and fishing circumstances were against me it definately wet my whistle for more.

If I had to thank anybody for were I am today it would be my father he started me out by taking me camping, canoeing, catfishing on the river bank and gave me an apprieciation for the outdoors.

Well, I guess that's about it glad to be on board
