Eddie One from the grave yard of discarded marketing. The stripes were to help detect micro drag and aid mending. The line is a standard weight forward floater and should work great for you.

Orvis zebra line...

Fly fishing folks,

I just got a little tioga #4 fly reel on ebay. It comes with an extra spool and both have 4 wt. line. One of the lines is called orvis zebra line. I did a search on this product and found nothing. Only a single description saying it was a speacialty line. I suspect it is no longer produced.

Does anyone know this line and what it's characteristics might be?

thanks for any clarity.
