Eddie these boats are amazing. designed as a work boat for developing countries, they are up to just about any task.
I have fished out of them on the flats and in blue water. They will float in about 9 inches of water (seems like nothing!), and they are very sea worthy. Maybe not my first choice on flats or blue water, but that it can do both is incredable.
highly customizable.

BigDave BBD,

I know nothing about building boats but took a few hour-long rides in a 22' panga in Belize this fall. I was pretty amazed how well the thing ate up a 2ft chop in open water. Also made for a great flats boat (obviously).

Pangas 20-22 feet

In an attempt to avoid dangerous and expensive recreational drugs I was thinking of building another boat. The one that has tweeked my interest is a 20 foot panga. Does anyon have any experience under widely varying conditions?
These are not really flats boats per se but intended to be general purpose and easy to build. Any information would be helpful.
