|NateSmith||That is a good choice for 100-150.00 but not a great set up over all. I would got up a notch or so. I think cabelas sells the reddington RS2 with a drake reel. Or maybe one of the starter Sages. It is a big step in performancefor not a ton more $$$. I would also go with a cheaper line like the Cortland 444SL it will save you 20 bucks and the difference is not that much.|

Shopping for Dad
My dad is an avid spinning reel trout fisherman. My mother and I have decided to purchase him a fly rod this summer. I am leaning toward a Cabella 5 piece stow-and-go 8'5" mid-flex graphite 5 weight rod. This is offered in a combination with a Cahill II model number 1 reel. My father is 6'4" and about 220. I am going to purchase Orvis weight forward, 5 weight wonderline. He will be fishing mostly for trout in streams so 20 inches is a monster. Is this a good start? Are there any other combos you would recommend? Is this a good line?
