|flytyer||Use teal flank and split it after tying it in for wings on any Adams under #18. They will look very close to those tied with grizzly hackle tips and the teal is a whole lot easier to tie in on small flies than the very small grizzly hackle tips. At any rate, the fish won't care.|

First batch of 22's
I just finished tying a few size 22's flies and was able to tie some alright adams, ive been running into trouble winging them though. Been using uni-thread 8/0 it seems to be ok. Are there any tips and tricks for tying midges? On some patterns are wings even necessary?
