Stress Break

Took a mid-day break to target some smallmouth on a local pond.

Dusted off the kick-boat, loaded up the 4 weight and an 8 weight 3 piece Marryat have been asked to try out and hit a tannin (sp?) stained pond in Hanson.

With the 8 weight (very slick rod) I threw a bright yellow weedless Dahlberg diver onto some lilly pads and started creeping it over the top..... BANG a nice smallmouth.

The process contiued t work from 11:00 - 1:00 then it was back to the job search.

I nailed one HUGE bluegill who couldn't close it's mouth with the Dahlberg in there. That's like you or me trying to swallow a cat whole. I love these fish.
