I'm not personally familiar with the gear you are asking about...but a VERY important consideration is the warantee.
Sooner or later a rod and/or rell may fail or be the victim of an accidental door closing or fall...will the company stand behind the product? Case in point, the Redington post regarding slow leak waders...replaced, no questions asked.
You pay a little more but you get alot more in the longrun. Tight lines and safe wading.

Any comments on the above will be appreciated. Are they worth spending money on (especially Techna AV 9' #8, HMX Black Nighthawk 9' #8)?
