SDHflyfisher i was about her age when i started and that is much better than one of my first flies (i taught myself and took a year or so to get good)

She is tying a very nice hair wing indeed! She obviously takes pride taking the time to tie a well-made fly. I assume you taught her how to tie this well.

Small Skunk from Youth

Proud papa had to post this picture of a fly my 13-yr-old daughter tied on Sunday:



(Forgive the image quality--the fly was scanned, not photographed.)

The fly includes two, 5-turn, whip finishes made by hand. (She picked up the whip finish the first try!

She's getting the bug, but still trying for her first steelhead.
