I had a popper guide trip to PNP. A few of the gearboys had landed some coho and my client had three big follows and boils. He was a bass fisherman from Oklahoma and was pretty quick on the trigger. He pulled the popper away from the first two fish. On the third, after I told him to continue to strip when they boil after the fly, he hooked a big nasty one, but was too quick to get his rod from under his arm and into reeling position. Arrrrghhhhh!

The fish never showed. If you happened to be casting when they showed up, you hooked up.

Leland.

I rinsed my waders off in the Sno this morning. I didn't land catch or land any but I know where one lives now.
